Who was Marie-Elisabeth Lüders?
The bistro is located in the Marie-Elisabeth-Lüders-Haus.
Marie-Elisabeth Lüders was an important politician.
She was born in 1878 and died in 1966.
Marie-Elisabeth Lüders was particularly committed to women’s issues.
In 1919 and 1920, she was a member of an important assembly.
This assembly drafted the constitution for Germany.
This was the Weimar Constitution. After that, she was a member of the German Reichstag for many years. This was the parliament in Germany before the Second World War.
In 1933, Adolf Hitler came to power.
Adolf Hitler was a National Socialist.
The National Socialists banned Marie-Elisabeth Lüders from working.
She was also no longer allowed to publish books and texts.
In 1937, she was even put in prison – for several months.
After the Second World War, she continued to work in politics.

In these businesses, people with and without disabilities work together.
And everyone contributes their strengths.
